
No, it wasn't an April Fool joke when we posted on the 1st April that we were to be awarded the RSGB Kenwood Trophy for “making significant contributions to Training and Development in Amateur Radio within the United Kingdom”.
We attended the RSGB AGM on 19th April to collect the award. There was a few seconds the RSGB general manager Peter Kirby didn't think we had attended, but we soon let them know we were there.

right). Peter will be looking after the award (carefully) for the next year. He was near the point of complaining from having to carry the box by time we had left Bristol after a meal.
It was an interesting day at the AGM, and enjoyed the Q&A session in the afternoon. Next year they say will be somewhere up north of England, so may not go to that, but I will not rule future AGMs out.
